Elliot Golf Course is conveniently located off Interstate 90, near the hotel/motel district of the city's far east side. The named Elliot came from Earl F. Elliot, a long time director of the Rockford Park District. It was opened in 1968. An 18-hole championship course and was rated as 3-1/2 stars by Golf Digest. A 6,433 yards of rolling terrai, large trees and spacious greens with a Par 72 courses. The special feature is the lighted driving range which is open on evenings.
