Glen Oak Country Club Addtional Information & History

The 18-hole Glen Oak course at the Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn, Illinois features 6,503 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by William B. Langford, ASGCA/Richard Jacobson, ASGCA, the Glen Oak golf course opened in 1911. The course is best known for its small, hard to read Bent grass greens and the mature trees that line most of the Bermuda grass fairways. The course rating is 72.1 and it has a slope rating of 128. Glen Oak golf course has been redesigned over the years by William Langford and Theodore Moreau (1922), A. W. Tillinghast (1935), David Gill (1965), and Ken Killian (1983).
