Course has received a lot of water damage from the recent rains. Several of the fairways are in very bad shape. Greens are still OK. Too bad as this was in very nice condition before the rains. Hopefully it can be repaired for the fall. |

This gem of a golf course is located in a unlikely place, Worth Illinois. This course stretches from harlem ave to ridgeland ave. After teeing off from the first hole you will not believe you are in worth. The course is heavily wooded and has many long holes. The grounds keepers keep this course up unbelievable. I give it a 9 out of 10 |

I_ve golfed this course probably 6 times over the last couple years and it seems to be getting better and better each time. Compared to some of the surrounding, this one has some interesting holes and nice greens. I always visit Water_s Edge whenever I have business in the area. Good deals on equipment compared to my regular golf shop |

I like Waters Edge golf course. First of all they have a very nice, all grass driving range. Having it very close to the first tee makes it very convenient for a pre-game warm-up. When the starter gives your group a holler you will find that they usually are running right on time. Going to the tee of your choice you will find that they are cut perfectly and that all of the old tees and divots have been picked up. The only tee that I_ve ever found in rough shape is number eight. I think the reason is that it is surrounded by trees. The fairways are excellent. I always play the ball down and have never had a problem with a bad lie in the fairway. The sand traps are good and the only time that I_ve had a problem was because of a bad rake job. Greens are excellent, maybe a little on the quick side, but are smooth as glass and roll very well. The cart girl comes around frequently and the rangers make their presence known. Back in the pro shop you will find that the guys are all knowledgeable, and good, golfers. Whether you want to discuss the PGA Tour or ask them a rules question you will find that they are on top of things. Summing up, I think you_ll find that Waters Edge compares very well with the better public courses in the Chicago area for a lot less money in many cases. |

This course was a great idea for reclaiming some marginal land, but the finished product has flaws. You will lose golf balls. Consider almost anything not in the short grass to be lost or OB. Water often not indicated on score card (along canal) and if you flirt with bordering trees, you are done. For some reason the turf never seems to last the whole season and begins looking ragged by late July (poor drainage?). Some very nice holes, some cheap holes (Par 3 #3 all of 75 yds. from forward tees?) and fairly flat. It started pricey when they opened and that hasn_t changed. A good value for twilight. |

Challenging, but butt ugly. Nothing memorable here. SEveral gimmicky holes. Play is slow. Real slow. |
